Who Can Apply?

If you’re in Grade 12…

  • Must be planning full-time studies toward a SAICA-accredited CA degree.
  • Minimum B symbol in Mathematics and English, and an overall average of at least 75%.

If you’re a university student…

  • Studying full-time toward a CA(SA) degree.
  • 1st–2nd year: overall average ≥ 70%; 3rd–4th year: average ≥ 65%

Other key criteria:

  • South African citizen or permanent resident.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

What It Covers

The bursary offers three tailored tiers:

  1. Academic achievement award: Contributes tuition fees and textbooks.
  2. Tuition and/or accommodation bursary: Covers 20–100% of tuition and a book allowance; top candidates may also receive accommodation and living stipends
  3. Full bursary: Includes tuition, accommodation, books, meals, and living expenses
