Details of the Moderator Vacancies
The current Moderator Vacancies are focused on specific programme areas, and the college is looking for experienced and qualified individuals to ensure that internal assessments meet the quality standards required by the relevant Quality Assurance Bodies (QABs). Moderators play a critical role in verifying the accuracy, fairness, and integrity of assessments, making their role central to quality assurance in TVET education.
1. Moderator: National Certificate: Plant Production NQF Level 3 (Ref: PLU18/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 100.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 4 certificate.
- A recognized diploma in Agricultural Science.
- Must have a valid AGRISETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: Plant Production NQF Level 3 SAQA ID 49052.
2. Moderator: National Certificate: End User Computing NQF Level 3 (Ref: PLU19/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 100.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 4 certificate.
- A recognized certificate in Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Computer Science, or any relevant and equivalent qualification.
- Must have a valid MICTSETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: End User Computing NQF Level 3 SAQA ID 61591.
3. Moderator: New Venture Creation (SMME) NQF Level 2 (Ref: PLU20/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 100.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 4 certificate.
- A recognized certificate in Business Administration/ New Venture Creation, or any relevant and equivalent qualification.
- Must have a valid SERVICE SETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: New Venture Creation NQF Level 2 SAQA ID 49648.
4. Moderator: National Certificate: Information Technology: System Development NQF Level 5 (Ref: PLU21/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 150.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- A recognized Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Computer Science, or any relevant and equivalent qualification.
- Must have a valid MICTSETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: Information Technology: System Development NQF Level 5 SAQA ID 48872.
5. Moderator: National Certificate: Farming NQF Level 4 (Ref: PLU22/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 100.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- A recognized diploma or degree in Agricultural Science.
- Must have a valid AGRISETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: Farming NQF Level 4 SAQA ID 20290.
6. Moderator: National Certificate: Business Administration NQF Level 4 (Ref: PLU23/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 100.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 5 certificate.
- A recognized diploma in Business Administration, or any relevant and equivalent qualification.
- Must have a valid SERVICE SETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: Business Administration NQF Level 4 SAQA ID 61595.
7. Moderator: National Certificate: Water and Wastewater Reticulation Services NQF Level 3 (Ref: PLU24/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 100.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 4 certificate.
- A recognized certificate in Water Engineering Studies/Plumbing or any relevant and equivalent qualification.
- Must have a valid EWSETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: Water and Wastewater Reticulation Services NQF Level 3 SAQA ID 60155.
8. Moderator: Certificate: Accounting Technician Public Sector NQF Level 3 (Ref: PLU25/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 250.00 per Module per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 4 certificate.
- A recognized certificate in Financial Management, or any relevant and equivalent qualification.
- Must have a valid SAICA Moderator registration certificate for Certificate: Accounting Technician Public Sector NQF Level 3 SAQA ID 73710.
9. Moderator: National Certificate: Wholesale & Retail Operations NQF Level 2 (Ref: PLU26/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 85.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 4 certificate.
- A recognized certificate in Business Administration, or any relevant and equivalent
qualification. - Must have a valid Wholesale & Retail Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate:
Wholesale & Retail Operations NQF Level 2 SAQA ID 58206.
10. Moderator: Skills Programme: Plant & Animal Production (Cluster of Unit Standards) NQF Level 3 (Ref: PLU27/2025)
Rate of remuneration: R 85.00 per unit standard per learner
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or any NQF Level 4 certificate.
- A recognized diploma in Agricultural Science.
- Must have a valid AGRISETA Moderator registration certificate for National Certificate: Plant Production NQF Level 3 SAQA ID 49052 & Animal Production NQF Level 3 SAQA ID 49048.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MODERATORS:
- Carrying out and evaluating internal assessment and quality assurance systems;
- Managing and conducting the moderation within acceptable frameworks and standards;
- Conducting moderation of assessment instruments, plans and guides including documenting proof of individual learners’ competence status;
- Verifying the fairness, validity, reliability and practicality of assessments;
- Identifying areas of improvement within the assessment process;
- Provide support and guidance to the Assessor;
- Providing an appeals procedure for dissatisfied learners and further assist in finding amicable solutions;
- Compiling reports as required by the College and the relevant ETQA.
