What This Opportunity Is About
The programme is designed for individuals who want to start a real career in technology — specifically in the data centre industry — without needing to pay for expensive tech courses.
Funding has been secured through the Digital Investment Facility (DIF) to help address Africa’s growing shortage of data centre talent. Participants will receive structured learning, practical exposure, and industry-aligned certifications that can unlock employment locally and internationally.
Data centres power everything in the modern digital world. From social media to banking systems, streaming services, AI platforms, and cloud computing — none of these exist without data centre infrastructure.
This programme aims to prepare young South Africans to participate in this rapidly expanding digital economy.
