In 2025, the college has announced an exciting international training programme in Electric Vehicle (EV) and Automotive Industry Skills, set to take place in China. This prestigious initiative aligns with South Africa’s growing emphasis on green energy solutions and the global shift toward electric mobility.
EMPOWERING FUTURE-READY TECHNICIANS
The Majuba TVET College Electric Vehicle and Automotive Industry Skills Programme is part of the institution’s broader mission to empower youth with practical, future-oriented training. Hosted in China, a global leader in electric vehicle technology, the programme will expose selected South African students to cutting-edge advancements in EV systems, battery technologies, charging infrastructure, and smart vehicle diagnostics.
Participants will receive hands-on training, industry exposure, and international work-readiness skills that will prepare them for employment in South Africa’s rapidly evolving automotive sector.
STRATEGIC GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP
This initiative is made possible through a strategic partnership between Majuba TVET College and leading automotive training institutions in China. The collaboration aims to transfer global expertise and knowledge to South African learners, with a particular focus on emerging EV technologies, sustainable manufacturing, and eco-friendly automotive solutions.
China, currently the world’s largest EV market, offers unmatched insights into the design, production, and maintenance of electric vehicles. This makes it an ideal destination for technical education in this sector.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The programme is open to:
- Top-performing Engineering and Automotive students enrolled at Majuba TVET College
- Youth with a passion for innovation and skills development in transport technology
- Must have a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Automotive Subjects will be an added advantage
- Applicants must be South African
- Be unemployed and not currently in any Education or Training
- Aged between 18 and 30 years
- No criminal record
- Meet the scholarship medical requirements
