POST 2: SECURITY AND RISK MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures and makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements
  • Physical security –  develop and enforce wide-scale protections and contingencies to prevent loss of property whilst on road and in warehouse
  • Integrating security policies with business operations.
  • Be responsible for the operational delivery and communication of Security Policy
  • Evaluating security plans for effectiveness and ensuring that weaknesses and breaches are reported upwards
  • Building and managing emergency response teams.
  • Conducting risk audits and assessments.
  • Overseeing security investigations
  • Controlling budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
  • Recruiting, training and supervising security officers and guards. Ensure that professional security staff are positioned and trained to provide operational excellence.

POST 5: GROUP GEOTECHNICAL SPECIALIST

JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Lead the tailings dam and water dam management strategy throughout Ferroalloys.
  • Support the operations to ensure tailings facilities are designed, constructed, operated, and closed in accordance with local legislation and regulations, international Standards [GISTM, the Glencore’s Tailings Management and Closure Planning Standards.
  • Ensure Designer’s technical deliverables meet the necessary requirements.
  • Support and develop Life of Mine /Life of Assets strategies, budgets and schedules based on latest tailings tonnages and closure concepts.
  • Participate in risk assessment workshops, identification of credible failure modes, bowtie development, and identification of critical controls.
  • Define technical and management standards within Ferroalloys for tailings and inspect critical TSF assets and management systems within Glencore’s risk management framework.
  • Supporting the operations in implementing and tracking actions/recommendations from Annual Dam Safety reports, the Independent Tailings Dam Safety Assurance and independent Dam Safety Review.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities aligned with ICMM Roadmap to zero wet tailings.
  • Provide technical support to ensure effective operations input into capital projects (design review, commissioning, operational and closure readiness) and that operational readiness programs are of the right standard to manage the transition from construction through to operations ramp up, and ultimately closure.
  • Provide input to study phases of projects for tailings dam design, operation, and closure
  • Ensure standardization and support review of OMS manuals, EPRPs, Stakeholder Engagement Plans, risk assessments
  • Conduct construction vs design intent verification for all new/modified tailings and water dams.
  • Support operations in scoping of TSF and Dam Management projects, including dam upgrades (buttressing, reprofiling, unloading, stormwater management infrastructure).
  • Support operations with review of EOR reports, including annual dam safety reports, Dam Breach Assessments, Geotechnical Assessments, Geochemical Assessments, Design Basis Report, and Design Criteria.
  • Actively participate in all tailings and water dam related assurance/audit programs.
