Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
Registration with
a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
Experience: Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the
SANC. Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, night duty and overtime when necessary. Willingness to rotate
between wards within hospital.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Basic communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to function as part of a team.
Enhance patient care through the implementation of SOP’s, policies, and guidelines.
Duties
Development and implementation of basic patient care.
Provide basic clinical nursing care.
Effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
