Requirements
Applicants must have Grade 12 and a National Diploma in Social Science, Legal Studies or a related equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience in tenure reform or a related field.
A valid driver’s licence is required.
Required knowledge includes land tenure security matters, tenure legislation and policies, strategic planning, human resources management, financial management, supply chain management, economics and the Public Service Act.
Required skills include analytical thinking, communication, planning and organising, computer literacy, report writing, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal relations, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, conflict resolution, networking, team management and customer focus.
Duties
The successful candidate will implement communal land tenure projects.
Duties include conducting awareness and capacity building on communal land management and relevant laws, supporting land rights management structures, facilitating mediation in land rights violations and disputes, implementing communal tenure upgrade programmes and responding to land rights project queries.
The candidate will also support the establishment and management of communal property entities, maintain the CPA database, conduct awareness on CPA activities, investigate and intervene in registered CPA affairs, support mediation and dispute resolution, and provide administrative, secretariat, clerical and logistical support.
