Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
Current registration (2026) with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Grade 1: Less than 3 years appropriate /recognized nursing experience after registration with SANC as Enrolled Nurse.
Grade 2: 10 years or more, but less than 13 years appropriate /recognized experience with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
Grade 3: 20 years’ or more, but less than 23 years’, appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes, National Core Standards and other relevant legal frameworks such as Nursing Act, OHS Act, Patient’s Rights Charter, Responsibilities, Batho-Pele principles, Public Service regulations, Labour Relations Act, Disciplinary Code and Procedure, Grievance Procedure etc.
Duties
Successful candidates will be assisting patients with the activities of daily living (physical care).
Provide elementary clinical nursing care.
Effective utilization of resource.
Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
