Requirements
Qualifications that allow registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse.
Registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
No experience required.
Demonstrate elementary understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices.
Willingness to work overtime, shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Willingness to rotate within all wards/departments within the hospital according to operational needs.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the managers to ensure quality nursing care.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel).
Demonstrate good communication with patients, supervisors and colleagues.
Good organizing skills.
Duties
Perform a basic clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards.
Promote quality of basic nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards.
Demonstrate basic communication with patients, supervisors and other clinicians.
Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care.
Work effectively, cooperatively and amicably with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious difference.
Display a concern for patients, promoting and advocating elementary care including awareness and willingness to respond to patients’ needs, requirements and expectations (Batho-Pele).
