Requirements
Grade 12 or Equivalent Qualification.
Experience in animal handling will be an added advantage.
A valid Code B/EB or higher driver's licence Skills and Competencies: Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to
communicate with farmers/clients and other levels of communities.
Problem solving skills.
Competent with livestock handling.
Ability to work under pressure.
Basic Computer skills.
Duties
Render animal dipping services.
Minor maintenance of animal handling and dipping infrastructure.
Assist with animal disease control including vaccinations, treatments, castration/dehorning and animal restraint.
Assist with community co-ordination and reporting.
Counting and recording of animals.
Maintaining the correct dip-tank water level, mixing dipping material, Monitoring dipping, Cleaning the dip tank area.
Safeguarding dipping chemicals, and assisting with vaccinations, treatments, castration/dehorning and animal
restraint.
