Requirements
Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate.
Applicants must have completed at least 20 modules towards an LLB, BA Law or BCom Law degree.
Applicants must have at least one year of secretarial experience.
A valid driver’s licence will serve as an added advantage.
Applicants must pass a typing test.
Required skills include good communication, administration, organisation, interpersonal skills, ability to meet strict deadlines, attention to detail, customer service, excellent typing skills, confidentiality, time management and computer literacy.
Duties
The successful candidates will render secretarial support to the Judiciary.
Duties include diarising appointments and meetings, typing and filing judgments, ensuring judgments are delivered, uploading orders to CaseLines or Court Online, receiving visitors, recording incoming and outgoing documents, ordering stationery and supporting civil, criminal and review matters.
The candidates will also prepare court rolls, administer oaths where required, support court proceedings, manage Judge travel arrangements, submit logbooks and claims, and ensure updates in the Judge’s library are attended to.
