Job Purpose
To install, erect, and repair OHTE equipment on railway lines during planned and unplanned construction and maintenance work.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in OHTE railway construction
- C Green Certificate
- Working at Heights Certificate
- First Aid Level 1
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of safety legislation

- Minimum Grade 9 with at least 3 months relevant experience
- Valid Flagman certificate
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Medically fit

- Prepared to work extended hours during emergencies
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic maintenance and testing of flagman equipment
- Learn and operate relevant equipment
- Maintain safety awareness
- Report deviations and incidents to supervisors

- Carry out tasks assigned by supervisor
- Handle loading and offloading of materials
- Clean sites, remove weeds, and dispose of rubble
- Use non-mechanised hand tools
- Maintain worksite cleanliness
