Position Summary: Transmission Overhead Line Erector

The selected candidates will perform skilled assembly, installation, adjustment, repair, and maintenance of overhead transmission and distribution lines, including electrical substation-related functions.

All work must comply with:

Minimum Education and Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following educational and technical criteria:

Minimum Education

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Additional Technical Competencies (Advantageous)

  • Working at Heights certification
  • Rescue Competency training
  • First Aid Level 1 & 2
  • Pole Climbing certification
  • Stringing Equipment Operating training
  • Hydraulic Crimping certification

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the power or electrical transmission sector
