Programme funding
SETAs may support approved learning through grants or funded projects. Funding can cover training, assessment, learner support, workplace components or other approved costs.

Stipends and allowances
Some programmes provide a learner allowance or stipend to help with participation costs. The amount, payment schedule and conditions depend on the specific contract, funding model and host organisation.

Bursaries
A bursary may support tuition and other approved study costs. Coverage differs widely: some bursaries include only tuition, while others may include books, accommodation, meals, transport or research support.

Avoid assumptions
A SETA-linked programme does not automatically mean every participant receives the same amount. Only the official advertisement or signed agreement should be treated as authoritative for payment details.
