WHAT IS THE SENQU MUNICIPALITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME?
The Senqu Municipality Internship Programme is a structured, fixed-term opportunity designed to provide young graduates with hands-on experience in various municipal departments. Interns are placed in units aligned with their academic qualifications, including Finance, Human Resources, Community Services, Engineering, Development Planning, and more.
The programme runs for 36 months, depending on the department and the availability of funding. It aims not only to equip interns with practical skills but also to prepare them for sustainable employment within the public sector or private industry.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The internship programme is primarily targeted at:
- South African citizens who are unemployed graduates.
- 3 Year National Diploma in Internal Auditing
- Youth between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- Residents within or around the Senqu Local Municipality jurisdiction are often given preference.
Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to learn, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to public service.
