JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Perform beauty treatment according to Dis-Chem standards.
- Contribute towards proper customer liaison and care when performing treatments.
- Have the knowledge and offer expert advice and an excellent salon experience.
- Create awareness around the variety of skin care and body treatments in the Dis-Chem Beauty Salons.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
- Minimum 2 years relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapist
- 12 Months technical/practical experience
Advantageous:
- 3 Year Relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy / Prior Salon Booking System Experience
- Any Aesthetic treatment experience and knowledge of all salon treatments
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales:
- Meet monthly treatment and product targets.
- Promote the salon on a daily basis to achieve monthly targets.
- Attend training to stay informed and educated regarding new products, treatment and/ or service techniques and all salon equipment
Customer Service:
- Adhere to Dis-Chem policies and procedures when dealing with customers.
- Report customer compliments and complaints to management.
- Provide customers with accurate feedback regarding queries within a reasonable time.
- Market Dis-Chem Salon offerings to new customers on a daily basis.
- Provide customers with an excellent and memorable salon experience.
- Conduct monthly promotions and reports in conjunction with management.
Administration:
- New customers should complete customer cards and after every treatment and/ or service.
- Complete and submit accurate monthly reports in time.
- Adhere to the Dis-Chem treatment payment procedures.
Stock Control:
- Maintain stock on hand according to Dis-Chem procedures.
- Report short, damage and expired stock to management.
- Maintain effective and accurate merchandising of promotions.
- Adhere to Dis-Chem merchandising procedures.
- Ensure that all relevant equipment is in a working condition and clean at all time.
- Report general maintenance and faulty equipment on a regular basis.

Special conditions of employment:
- South African Citizen
- Fully Vaccinated (proof of vaccination certificate)
- MIE, clear criminal and credit
- Driver’s license and/or own reliable transport
