JOB OVERVIEW:
The Yard Cleaner role is an essential support position within the Ipelegeng Transport operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in and around the transport yard, ensuring that areas are free of debris, waste, and hazards. This contributes to the safety and efficiency of transport operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily cleaning of the transport yard, including walkways and parking bays
- Proper disposal of waste and recycling materials
- Sweeping and washing of surfaces
- Assisting with minor maintenance duties if required
- Reporting any safety or cleanliness concerns to supervisors
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
This vacancy is perfect for unemployed youth, school leavers, and individuals with general work experience. No formal qualification is required, but basic literacy and a willingness to work in an outdoor environment are essential.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 Minimum.
- Experience in cleaning and other handy workmanship.
- Relevant experience or exposure to mechanic would be an added advantage.
- Ability to work with hands tools.
- Organized and good communication skills
- Attention to detail with an ability for problem solving
JOB OUTPUTS:
- Yard Maintenance.
- Maintain housekeeping and health and safety standard.
- Keep the yard clean at all times.
- Reporting and repair defects / faults in the yard.
- Conduct assessment in the yard, to ensure that everything is in working order.
- Performing other duties as set out by the foreman or supervisors.
