Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM): EPWP Law Enforcement Ambassadors Programme 2025

The Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) has once again stepped up in creating youth empowerment opportunities through its Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). This time, the municipality is calling on unemployed youth across the Garden Route to apply for the Law Enforcement Ambassadors Programme – a seven-month opportunity designed to build skills, promote safety, and contribute to local community development.

Programme Overview

The EPWP Law Enforcement Ambassadors initiative provides young people with valuable exposure to law enforcement practices while helping to address issues of public safety within the district. Successful applicants will serve as ambassadors, assisting with awareness campaigns, compliance monitoring, and community safety activities.

The programme runs for seven (7) months and is available across the Garden Route’s local municipalities, including Kannaland, Hessequa, George, Oudtshoorn, Knysna, and Bitou.
