Can I buy a car with a R17k salary

Hi
I am an SGB permanent educator and been employed for 6 months now. I earn 17k after deduction.
Can I buy a car? My credit score is very low by the way😭 i need a car very bad as I work in town and sometimes we knock off late via meetings, any advices?

SGB Posts are not permanent. Don't do it, if there was a way of renting a car month to month I would say do that or buy cash
